Hiking Ballston, VA to Georgetown (Anti Clockwise) 24 November, 2011 (10 miles): 24 Nov, 2011 (11 miles)

It was Thanksgiving. The temperature was in the 60s and the sun was shining bright. I was out the door with a tiny bottle of electrolytes and another bottle of water. I decided to walk to Key Bridge along Wilson Blvd. When I reached Georgetown I was not sure which way to turn. Finally I decided to go north toward Chain Bridge, on the CNO canal. The path was a bit messy due to the rains. I crossed Chain Bridge into Virginia, took Military Rd and meandered through some trails, eventually reaching Glebe Rd. A friend of mine, Marcy, called me to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving. It was a lovely thanksgiving hike. I could not have asked for a lovelier weather on thanksgiving. Ah! a couple was lost looking for a street called Culpeper. I whipped out my iPhone and showed them how to get there. My good deed of the day. :)
